Côte d'Azur - part two

Monday, 7 October 2013

So, here are some of the pictures I took on film. I have lots more but some of them are too personal or didn't came out as I expected. That's one of the beauties of film: you never know how your pictures turn out until you see them.  Having pictures that didn't came out so good only makes me try even harder next time. I'm always learning and if I have as much as ten beautiful pictures out of a roll of thirty-six, then that roll of film is not wasted for me.
This trip went by so fast that I felt I was in a hurry all the time. I spent only two days on the beach or near the hotel cause I wanted to see as much as I can and I'm not really a fan of tanning either.
I visited four different cities on the French Riviera. Apart from Cannes, we also saw Saint Tropez, Nice and Monte Carlo. I can't really decide which one was my favorite cause I loved different things from each city. Nothing compares with the color of the sea in Nice ( it has at least three different tones of azure). It was interesting to sit on the beach and observe people that came from all over the world (I figured that out on how they looked and spoke but mostly on the book they were reading - each with a title in another language)
I wanted to take pictures of every window shutter in Saint Tropez, every boat in Cannes and every tree and garden in Monaco.
These places are great for tourists, especially in september, when the weather is perfect. However, next time I go to France I wanna see those little villages and secluded places of Provence that have lands of lavender, vineyards and cheese tasting routes. In other words, I wanna see and taste the real French culture and not the most popular turist attractions.
